General Professional English (GPE)

Refine your business English skills for global work and travel.

The General Professional English (GPE) course develops your general and business English skills for global work and travel. You should choose this course if you are interested in travelling and working in an English-speaking environment.

What the course involves

GPE is split into two five-week modules. The first module covers weeks one to five of the syllabus, and the second module covers weeks six to ten. You may complete the modules in either order.

After you complete this course, you will be able to use English in general and work situations, engage in conversations on business-related topics, and write a resume (CV) and cover letter using an appropriate style.

The course enables you to identify the main ideas, details and purpose of a variety of texts, and listen for topics and specific information in monologues and dialogues.

Assessments are held in the final week of each module.
